Reimagining our goals and enhancing our impact
We are pleased to announce that on December 5, 2024, at our General Assembly, a landmark decision was made to comprehensively reimagine the objectives of our Organization – NGO “Democratic Development Foundation” (NGO DDF) – and significantly expand the tools and means to achieve them. This decision marks a profound evolution in our mission and strategies, aligned with a renewed commitment to transparency, innovation, and the sustainable development of Ukraine.
The Organization was founded to foster efficient democracy, drive digital transformation, develop human capital, and protect the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens. Now, as we celebrate our tenth anniversary, we are ushering in a new era shaped by the following pivotal commitments, as outlined in our newly approved Charter (December 5, 2024, Protocol No. 1):
1.Transformative democracy and digital innovation
Building on our existing efforts to strengthen democratic institutions, we will enhance citizen engagement by introducing innovative mechanisms of civic participation and digital governance. This includes public oversight of state institutions, digital platforms to encourage transparent decision-making, and advanced training programs designed to elevate digital competencies nationwide.
2.Broadened scope of activities
Our renewed Charter underscores a more inclusive agenda – one that embraces sustainable growth, the promotion of renewable energy, and the support of local communities. We will continue to spearhead initiatives and partnerships aimed at ecological well-being, social entrepreneurship, and expanded youth participation in governance. By prioritizing these areas, we strive to reflect our deeper dedication to the long-term prosperity of Ukraine.
3.Collaborative excellence and organizational development
To fulfill our ambitious objectives, we plan to fortify our internal structures. In particular, we will form specialized task forces that focus on innovation, fundraising, and international partnerships, thus enabling us to engage more effectively with local authorities, international bodies, and public institutions. Our leadership, as set forth by the Charter, will further emphasize openness, accountability, and inclusive decision-making, ensuring that every member has a meaningful role in driving the Organization’s mission.
Throughout the past decade, NGO DDF has undergone sustained and impactful growth. We have influenced policy development, established strong international collaborations, and cultivated a thriving community of volunteers and professionals dedicated to shaping Ukraine’s democratic future. Today, with this renewed Charter and a focus on expanded strategic tools, we stand stronger and better equipped than ever before.
We look forward to embarking on this transformative path together with our members, partners, and allies in civil society. Our collective goal remains to create a more democratic, innovative, and inclusive Ukraine – one where individual rights are upheld, communities flourish, and future generations thrive.
